Print-making

I studied art, photography and printing in Surrey and moved to Ilfracombe 3 years ago. How fortunate are we to have a wealth of inspirational views!

I have always loved the sea so moving to somewhere so idyllic inspires me and features a lot in my prints.

I used to work at ‘Ochre Print Studios’ in Guildford, Surrey and was blessed to be able to experiment with a lot of different mediums and techniques, as well as displaying some of my work in a gallery.
I have recently moved into my own home and have set up a printing studio in my dining room where I produce a variety of mediums including lino, dry points, woodblocks, gelli plates and etchings. Where each print is produced by hand; from the initial drawings to the intricate cutting/scratching, inking and printing of editions.

Printmaking is so expressive and brings me such joy. I love choosing a medium to work with that will suit my idea and image.

I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life by spending time taking photos around the coastal paths for my next printing project.
