How to apply
Ilfracombe Art Trail 2027 15–16 May 2027
What you make
Choose the mediums that describe your work. If none of them fits, there is a free-text option for you to name your own.
- Ceramics
- Drawing
- Jewellery
- Mixed Media
- Painting
- Photography
- Print-making
- Textiles
Where visitors will find you
Tell us which of these describes your situation. If you do not have a venue, say so and we will not ask you for one.
- My venue is my home address
- My venue is not at my home address
- I do not have a venue
If you do have a venue, you will be asked which kind it is:
- Studio or Gallery
- Open House
- Open Garden
Access at your venue
Answering the wheelchair question is required. Being wheelchair accessible is not — plenty of studios and houses on the trail are not, and saying so plainly is what lets a visitor plan a day they can actually manage.
We count a venue as wheelchair accessible when there are no barriers anywhere in the home (zero-step entries at all doors, smooth level flooring throughout); consistent wide clearance for movement in every room; no barriers to entry of the home (zero-step entry, no steep slopes).
You will also be asked about parking, a toilet, whether your work can be seen from the pavement, and whether you offer food or drink.
Words and pictures
Two pieces of writing and the images that go with them.
- An artist statement of up to 25 words
- A biography of up to 200 words
- Images at least 1920 pixels wide, as JPG or PNG
The image size is a printing requirement rather than a preference. An under-sized original is discovered at the brochure, which is far too late to ask you for another.
The fee, and when it is due
There is a registration fee, and you pay it only after your application is approved. Nothing is taken when you apply.
£55
Starting, and coming back to it
You do not have to finish in one sitting. An application can be left part-finished and picked up again whenever you have a moment — everything you have entered is kept, and you carry on where you left off.
What can You create?
Every year the trail is made of whoever decides to open their doors. That is the whole of it. If you make something, there is room for you on it.
