About Ley Holloway

I did a bit of design and illustration work in the 90s and ran an arts centre for young people in Hertfordshire for a few years. I’ve worked as a saddlery assistant, printing for an estate agent and as front of house manager in a small theatre. I moved to Devon with my ex in 2004 and we ran the Exmoor Brass Rubbing Centre in Lynmouth. That was when I started making jewellery after finding some books about beading in the library where I worked part time. I’ve gradually experimented with different techniques and got a bit braver with silver recently, learning to solder a bit and using techniques like reticulation. I made some small pieces of fused glass and have beaded around one, I plan to mount some in silver. My most recent job was in Barnstaple library, I’m now very much retired, not sure how I found time to work with everything I do now. I share my life with a partner who I’ve known since 2018.
