Originally from the North East coast of Scotland, I moved to Ilfracombe straight from Glasgow school of Art, where I studied fine art.
Always an impatient painter I turned to photography as my hand could never keep up with the ever changing light.
Photography soon became a full time career and passion achieving Fellowship with the BIPP and Associateship with the RPS
Ilfracombe has been my home for 42 years. Married to Carl, a born and bred local, we share six children all of whom have now found their own way in life.
Maturity has brought me some patience and the coastline my inspiration, my art is mostly described as bringing happiness and joy.
To me colour is everything, I work in mixed media, enjoying pen and ink, watercolour, acrylic, oils, printing and photography.
I look forward to welcoming you to my Atelier, where I run art classes, paint & sips, workshops and display my work.
