During the course of my 30 years as a furniture maker, I have tried to express my artistic side through the manufacture of making mainly utilitarian items for others in timber but also gaining insight in the recreation/ repair of period pieces. This has allowed me to create new pieces in different styles as well as my own.

The joy for me is in the creation of the piece. I have endeavoured to pass on this wish to be creative/artistic in our 4 children, always allowing them free rein of an art shop rather than a toy store. All 4 are blossoming in different media and I am happy to stand along side 3 of them on the Art Trail in 2026. Our middle daughter Emily, is sadly unable to join us this year, as she completes her first year in Fine Arts at Falmouth University.
