My creativity as an artist is constantly energised by the outstanding natural beauty of North Devon. Vivid memories of the changing weather and the strength of the tides provided inspiration for my first seascape, painted whilst living in Wisconsin, America.

I returned to the UK in 2007 and focused on becoming a semi-professional artist rather than returning to my career as a magazine journalist in London. I have been painting and exhibiting ever since.

Recently, I have been teaching impressionist seascape classes and working on a wide range of commissions. It is a privilege to be asked to capture a personal connection to a specific place.

My incentive is to try and replicate a feeling or attachment with the vastness of sea, land and sky, in the hope that others may make that same connection.
My latest collection of paintings feature the moors and forests of Exmoor.
