I have lived in Ilfracombe for 12 years now and am inspired by the sea daily. All my papier mache pieces are made from recycling card, newspaper and anything else useful, painted in acrylics and varnished. I am passionate about doing my little bit to turn rubbish into something a bit more beautiful and helping the planet in my own little way too. This also keeps my costs down which I can pass on to my customers – I don’t believe in over-charging. My wall fish range in size from a tiny 5 inches up to a metre long and I also create panels of any size, one was a whopping 8 feet! I love working with colour and texture and the sea is my main inspiration although I also make cows, geckos, moose, unicorns as well as advertising pieces for shops and pubs – I can be commissioned to make anything! I make so many fish I have been referred to as “The Fishy Lady”! I sell online through social media and through stockists over the country and my pieces can be posted so they find their way all over.
