I’m always at my happiest striding along a country path, preferably with the sea not far away. I love the sense of exhilaration and peace a good walk can bring and that is what I try to capture in my pictures. When I can I get out in the open to paint – the indigo landscape was done on the beach at Hartland in the aftermath of storm Brian. There is never any shortage of subjects – the path to Lee is different every time I walk it.
This year I’ve used watercolour and acrylics, plus whatever other medium seems right at the time.
