Painting

My main influence was my father, a talented, humble artist.

As a child I observed him painting on his board, sitting by the fire after work, no fancy easels or studio. He predominately painted in watercolour, local scenes of Yorkshire, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

It was later in life when I found I had more time to follow my interests. I attended local art classes and went on some wonderful painting holidays.

Meeting a variety of talented artists, I picked up techniques and inspiration to pop in my tool box.

For me it’s the magic of colour, light and energy. When this all comes together, happy days.
