After a career in education, I moved from Gloucestershire to Ilfracombe in late 2023.

My husband and I spent 25 years holidaying with our three children in the area and it is such a joy to now live here permanently.

We have taken on a lovely Victorian house (in need of much renovation!) which affords me room to have my own studio and the views to the hills and sea are a daily inspiration.

I had very little previous experience of making art and had no idea of what I might start creating, so I just began experimenting with different paint mediums and styles.

After a few false starts I finally started to feel comfortable using an oil and tissue paper mix to create seascapes and landscapes.

I have not ruled out moving into other mediums and I am currently trying my hand at felting.
