Glass and tiling

I started with a mosaic tile pack and created a colourful matt chopping board. Since then, I have discovered the amazing shine and bold unfading colour of cut glass; how it catches the light and can reflect colour back into the room.

I use 2mm and 3mm glass sheets and cut the pieces to size to create images; finishing the piece with some epoxy resin to ensure safety of sharp edges.

I try to add depth and perspective to my artwork, and sometimes add painted backgrounds, to enhance aspects and bring the different elements together.

I do sometimes still use tiles and blend techniques of tiling with glass pieces.

My work is hard wearing, eye catching and each image or table top is unique.
