Jane Perrin
Painting / printing – mixed media
Originally from the North East coast of Scotland, I moved to Ilfracombe straight from Glasgow school of Art, where I studied fine art.
Always an impatient painter I turned to photography as my hand could never keep up with the ever-changing light.
Photography soon became a full-time career and passion achieving Fellowship with the BIPP and Associateship with the RPS Ilfracombe has been my home for over 35 years.
Married to Carl, a born and bred local, we share six children all of whom have now found their own way in life.
Maturity has brought me some patience and the coastline my inspiration, turning again to my art and enjoying a true sense of my surroundings. Indulging my time while my husband is busy serving as second Coxswain for Ilfracombe RNLI.
I work in mixed media, enjoying pen and ink, watercolour, acrylic, printing and photography. The ever-changing light on our beautiful coast my companion, seduced by the natural palette that unfolds with each day.
