Cow Green Community Garden
Plant Sale – Sunday (11am – 3pm)
Cow Green is a beautiful, natural community garden right in the heart of Ilfracombe. It is just off the High Street, 200 yards up Cow Lane.
The garden has been established for 18 years and was created from a piece of abandoned waste ground. The garden today is a habitat for wildlife as well as a peaceful haven for visitors.
Cow Green Garden has a pond area, woodland, a small orchard, a vegetable patch, fruit trees and mature trees. We have a herb garden and seating and many flower beds with a mixture of plants. Our focus is on encouraging wildlife and natural planting, and we see many birds, insects and frogs around the garden.
The garden is completely maintained by volunteers and we meet every Friday from 10-12 to tend this precious space.
We love visitors and welcome everyone to come and enjoy our beautiful garden.
We will be holding a Plant Sale between 11-3 on Sunday 10th May during the Ilfracombe Art Trail – please do come and visit us.
