Sara Clark

Painting

My work explores the relationship between landscape and abstraction, where form, colour, and movement merge to evoke atmosphere rather than describe it.

The paintings are as much about the materiality of paint as they are about place.

Through layers of texture, fluid light, and shifting tones, I seek to capture the tension between the transient qualities of sea and sky and the bold, structural abstraction of colour and form. Each piece emerges as a dialogue between control and spontaneity, presence and suggestion.
