Corinne Young

Painting

Corinne is an award-winning oil painter based in North Devon. She graduated Plymouth University in 2014 with a degree in fine art. In 2016 she opened a shared studio space and specialist artist printers Jackson and Young in Barnstaple.

Corinne has exhibited artwork across the UK and in Saudi Arabia (where she spent a lot of time throughout her early life), and won the prestigious Holly Bush Emerging Women Artists Award in Hampstead in 2020. Most recently she has exhibited in Mall Galleries as part of the Society of Woman’s Artists exhibited.

The primary theme of Corinne’s oil paintings is the study of open water swimming, which she displays through a distinctive, contemporary realism style. Her series of women swimming in the wilds of the ocean hones in on this theme and is considered her most exposed and innovative body of work to date.
