Sarah Lockett is a contemporary artist whose impressionist-style landscapes evoke the dynamic beauty of the wild coastline and rolling countryside.
Her expressive brushwork and layered technique lend a distinct energy to her work, capturing both movement and mood.

Sarah’s paintings often feature expansive dramatic skies and abstract interpretations of land and sea. Her palette is subtle and drawn from the blues, browns and greens of her natural surroundings.

After starting her career as a magazine journalist in London, Sarah began to paint in oils and acrylics while living in America. Inspired by a longing for her native Devon, her first seascapes debuted in Wisconsin and later New York. Since returning to the UK, Sarah has exhibited her work nationally and continues to refine her self-taught practice.

Sarah undertakes numerous commissions and values the collaborative nature of commissioned work, especially the opportunity to explore the emotional resonance clients have with specific landscapes.
