Peter Stagg

Painting, pencils and prints

After 18 years in Engineering, in 2015 I decided to take the plunge into the murky waters of self-employment.
My work is very varied in both media and scale. From A4 pencil drawings, to large hand-made canvasses, wall hangings, Stage scenery and murals, it would seem that no job is too large!
I’m kept busy with Pet portraits and wildlife drawings, the originals of which are either in pencil, charcoal or pastel.
I sell limited edition prints, and my work has recently started appearing in shops around North Devon, it makes me very proud to know that people are willing to spend their hard-earned cash on something I’ve created.
This will be my first appearance in the Ilfracombe Art Trail, and although we live in Atherington, we have adopted Ilfracombe as a bit of a second home.
My other follies include singing and acting, which have enabled me to perform many times on the Landmark stage, and last year saw me singing with Majestic Blue at the Birdman Festival, followed by jumping into the harbour in my pyjamas wearing antlers. Plunging into murky waters?... I’m back where I started…
